Motion Type - Weekend Menu
WIP
Through incorporating the dynamic expression of Chinese characters within Western fonts, hand-drawn style Chinese characters maintain the same literal meaning in Western languages, simply infusing the visuals with greater vivacity.

Motion Type - Art & Design
WIP
Drawing inspiration from designer Harry Wright’s creations, his vibrant typography design is like a breeze of relaxation, sweeping over me. The playful dance of hand-drawn letters is an unexpected delight, and it even conjures up quirky graphics at times!

My first voyage into weaving stories between English alphabets and Chinese characters on an iPad. The twist between these two diverse languages and scripts is a real head-scratcher!

Summer of Lovers Playlist
Graphic Design
In the past summer, the heat in Shanghai was indescribable. I often complained about why I went to work to do design in such a hot season. I felt that the dazzling sunshine was consuming my passion for design. But it just so happens that this song can make my thoughts “colorful” again.

Wet Market & Graphic Design
Poster
In rural China, numerous wet markets exist where food is sold without fancy packaging. Customers, equipped with years of consumption experience, possess the ability to discern the freshness of food items. Meanwhile, sellers explore various ideas to attract and influence consumers’ judgments.

The following two posters delve into the intriguing phenomenon surrounding a seafood booth. Although the products and the surrounding environment may appear unrelated, they come together to create a visually engaging graphic piece infused with a human touch.

Time to Move
Poster
Inspired by Newton’s cradle, where a ball on the left strikes and transfers its energy through the line to the ball on the far right, causing it to rise. The "Stop Asian Hate" movement works in a similar way—let’s ensure our voices resonate through every ball, making an impact across the board.

100 Graphic Design Diaries
Experimental, Typography
During the final three months of my study in the UK, I crafted 100 graphic visual diaries using exercise paper. As a graphic design student, I aimed to capture my observations and experiences in life, along with design concepts, through these visual diaries.

I particularly enjoyed hand-painted typefaces, each carrying a dual significance. The first message rested on the literal meaning, while the second unveiled a narrative woven into the creation process.
