What We Regret Most
Poster Design
What We Regret Most is a poster created for an exhibition at Heath Mall, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.

Through the physical act of repeatedly drawing, erasing and redrawing typography by hand, the work explores regret as something that cannot be completely erased. Rather than hiding imperfections, the remaining traces become part of the visual language, reflecting how regret shapes memory, experience and personal growth.

Das Essen in ESSEN
Poster Design
Das Essen in Essen explores the connection between place, memory and food. Essen means "food" in German, while also being the name of the city the designer has returned to each year over the past three years.

Every visit is marked by the anticipation of discovering new local dishes, while the fresh flowers and a bottle of Stauder beer remain familiar constants on every table. The typography draws inspiration from the façade of the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, while the still-life illustrations are created through continuous charcoal line drawings of objects found on the dining table, capturing the warmth and ritual of shared meals.

A Resting Place
Installation Art, Graphic Design
Hangzhou has long been a resting place for generations of people. Some have come here to write poetry and paint, while others simply pause for a moment.

As part of everyday urban life, rattan chairs once appeared by West Lake, along the canal, and in the mountains, holding memories of cool shade and quiet conversation. In an increasingly modern city, perhaps only a less ordinary rattan chair can draw people to sit down again. To pause, to slow down, and to look more closely—Hangzhou is a place worth lingering in.

Reload
Type Design, Proposal
This type design was created for a collaboration between a traditional Suzhou market and a studio that recycles old tires. During on-site research, the geometric patterns of Suzhou’s garden windows became a key inspiration, sometimes symmetrical and orderly, sometimes breaking conventions.

By combining these ornamental forms with the visual qualities of tires, we carved both Chinese and Latin letterforms within the window grids, merging traditional aesthetics with industrial character to express themes of regeneration and renewal.

Togaze Production
Logo Design, Type Design
Togaze is a creative production house based in Shanghai. The name comes from the words “Together” and “Gaze”, reflecting how the studio observes the world with care and curiosity. Togaze focuses on telling everyday stories with emotional depth, using an aesthetic and human-centered approach. Their work explores modern Eastern narratives by capturing real, complex relationships and moments that matter in today’s world.

The logo design centers around the idea of gazing. Though built from Latin letters, the strokes mimic the texture of traditional Chinese rubbings, with broken lines and subtle gaps that hint at cultural heritage. It balances structure and expression, creating a sense of movement and visual flow.

Togaze is not just a name—it’s an invitation to look closer, to feel, and to connect through storytelling and design. The brand bridges culture, perception, and creativity in a fresh and thoughtful way.

HZ
Small Graphics, Experimental
This series consists of five small paintings that explore my personal connection with the city of Hangzhou.

Since graduating from the UK in 2021, I haven’t returned to Hangzhou often. Over time, my impression of the city has faded, no longer matching its ever-evolving appearance. It feels unfamiliar in some ways. Yet, through these images, colors, and typefaces, I find a sense of resonance—echoes of the Hangzhou I once knew. These works are both a reflection of my memories and a quiet reminder of the emotional thread that still ties me to this place.

SASA
Typeface, Proposal
The logo’s strokes are defined by smooth curves, sharp edges, and triangles. The smooth curves draw inspiration from the forms of African figurative sculptures, while the sharp edges evoke the robust, chiseled structures of carved works. The triangles add a decorative touch, enhancing the overall composition. Coffee, born in East Africa, has spread across the globe throughout history. Just as European influences enriched local African art, SASA now brings African culture back to the world.Year
